We’re thrilled to share that our team at TJ Cable is actively participating in the OPPD’s Ground Line Inspection and Treatment (GLIT) power pole replacement program. Today, we’re in the heart of Midtown Omaha, diligently working on relocating communication cables from the old poles to the new ones.
This initiative is a crucial part of maintaining the grid’s reliability. Both OPPD and contractors like us are committed to ensuring the health of the distribution and transmission systems. It’s a task we take seriously, as it directly impacts the community’s access to uninterrupted power and communication services.
Did you know? This power pole replacement program has been ongoing since the early 2000s, with inspections conducted every 10 years. We’re proud to play a role in this important project, contributing to the provision of reliable service to all residents in the community.
